Improves Sanitation & Hygiene

Recognising the critical gaps, WASTE started the FINISH project in 2009 with support from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Directorate-General for International Cooperation (DGIS) to provide safely managed sanitation to 2.5 million people in India. FINISH became a programme became a programme in 2013 by expanding to Kenya. Today as FINISH Mondial, we operate in six countries. To strengthen capacities, further upscale sanitation and increase its impact, the FINISH Mondial Foundation (FMF) was officially registered as a new legal entity in December 2023 up by the initiator of the programme, WASTE.

Our Vision & Mission

FINISH Mondial Foundation (FMF) promotes a world in which people are financially included, have access to safely managed WASH and other locally relevant products and services including solid waste and grey water management. These services are designed to be climate adapted, and through the sanitation circular economy contribute to climate mitigation. Thus, directly and indirectly, FMF contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Conceptualisation

FINISH Mondial began as a programme of WASTE, focusing initially on India. Our vision was clear: create sustainable sanitation solutions that would transform communities.
