Building Toilets, Building Futures

Let's create a global sanitation revolution!

Sanitation Progress in Uganda

Uganda faces significant sanitation challenges with 3 out of 10 households lacking basic latrine facilities and nearly a tenth of the population practicing open defecation. Despite these challenges, the country is making strides through innovative community-driven programs, improved supply chains, and targeted financing solutions. The journey toward universal sanitation access requires continued collaboration between government, communities, and development partners to bridge the $26 million annual financing gap and strengthen the sanitation value chain across both urban and rural areas.
